HIMAH Call for Nominations
The Health Information Management Association of Hawaii (HIMAH) Nominating Committee wants you to suggest fellow members and/or yourself as possible candidates for the HIMAH Executive Board positions for the next fiscal year July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
ALL NOMINEES MUST BE ACTIVE HIMAH MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING.
Nominations are open for the following positions:
- President-Elect – 3-year term
- Treasurer – 2-year term
- First-Year Director – 2-year term
Duties and qualifications of officer positions
President-Elect: The President-elect shall act in place of the President in the event of the absence of the President and shall exercise such other duties as may be delegated to the office by the Board. The President must be an Active Member of HIMAH as well as an AHIMA-approved certificant. This position requires a three-year board commitment.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall keep, or cause to be kept, adequate and correct accounts of all the properties and financial transactions of HIMAH and shall deposit, or cause to be deposited, all monies and other valuables in the name of and to the credit of HIMAH, with such depositories as may be designated by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall also serve as the Chair of the Finance Committee, ex officio with vote. This position requires a two-year board commitment.
First-Year Director: Entry-level Director position aimed at familiarizing a new director to the HIMAH board, goals and function. This position requires a two-year board commitment.
