Coding is CHANGING! Please join us for our Education Session featuring Evan Martin and Petra Smith speaking on Coding and its role in the Revenue Cycle.

Evan Martin is a Senior Strategic Advisor for The Wilshire Group, bringing over 13 years of Revenue Integrity operational experience. He is a forward-thinking leader with in-depth experience cultivating teams to excel and achieve project and operational goals. His unique background allows him to work seamlessly with clinical operations, information services and revenue cycle leaders. Resourceful, innovative, a value-add and results-driven leader.

Petra Smith is well known to our local association and Hawaii HIT education system. She has worked in healthcare since 1992 in various roles such as coder, coding auditor, claims edit auditor, CDM analyst, coding manager and educator. Petra has extensive revenue cycle consulting experience for both large and small hospital systems. Petra excels in collaborating with other departments such as Patient Financial Services (PFS), Hospital and Professional coding as well as front-end staff to ensure revenue capture as well as payment for these services. Petra holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. She is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
