2020 Annual Conference Cancelled
To All Our HIMAH Members:
By now, you all have heard and is closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic that is affecting our community and around the world. We want you to know that we have been actively monitoring the guidelines established by the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
After much consideration and based on information regarding the clinical severity of the virus, we regretfully are announcing the cancellation of HIMAH 2020 Annual Conference, which was scheduled to take place at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, May 14-15, 2020.
The health and safety of all HIMAH attendees which includes the speakers and vendors is our top priority. Our primary concern is protecting everyone involved with the conference from contracting or spreading COVID-19.
Every year, HIMAH works hard to bring together all Health Information Management (HIM) professionals, clinicians, physicians, and consultants to share their knowledge and experience.
We know that you all look forward to attending, networking together and learning various topics that impact your profession and business. HIMAH team is exploring alternative ways for speakers and presenters to share their work which permits all attendees to earn CEUs. We will e-mail you with more details on these events as we have them.
We sincerely appreciate the hard work and commitment of the presenters and volunteers who agreed to speak and help with the conference.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. Thank you for your support for HIMAH!
Mary Ann Floresca, RHIA, CCS, CPHQ
